Spacecraft Architecture and Production Cadence
The system design adapts Boeing’s established 702MP medium-class spacecraft bus to meet high-capacity and high-performance communication constraints. The engineering approach aims to increase total communication throughput, mitigate external signal interference, and optimize connectivity to support global operations into the next decade.

By utilizing the active 702MP spacecraft production line, the project incorporates immediate manufacturing momentum, standardized reliability metrics, and schedule predictability. Supporting this production cadence, Boeing has manufactured and delivered multiple 702MP satellites since the fourth quarter of 2025, providing relevant assembly experience as the engineering teams transition into the execution phase of the MUOS SLE program.
