STM Presents Naval Platforms and Autonomous Systems at WDS 2026

In the naval defence, unmanned systems and maritime security sectors, STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. is preparing to present its latest platforms and technologies at the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from February 8 to 12. The exhibition appearance focuses on export-ready naval platforms, autonomous naval vehicles and unmanned aerial systems designed for modern, networked defence operations.

Naval platforms designed for modern fleets
At WDS 2026, STM will showcase scale models and system concepts representing its surface combatant and support vessel portfolio. Highlights include the TCG İSTANBUL (F-515), the first national frigate of Türkiye and lead ship of the MİLGEM İstif-Class program, which reflects STM’s experience in modular naval platform design, combat system integration and NATO-standard engineering.

Also presented is the Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker, designed and built by STM and commissioned in 2018, demonstrating the company’s capabilities in logistics support ships for extended naval operations. Complementing these platforms are the STM MPAC fast attack craft and the STM NETA unmanned autonomous underwater vehicle, addressing coastal defence, surveillance and underwater mission requirements.




Integrated unmanned aerial and naval systems
In the unmanned systems domain, STM will display a range of aerial and naval solutions developed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and precision strike missions. The exhibition includes the KARGU FPV loitering munition UAV, designed for close-range asymmetric threat scenarios, as well as the rotary-wing KARGU loitering munition system, which is already in service and exported to multiple countries.

Further systems on display include the TOGAN surveillance UAV and the BOYGA ammunition drop UAV, both currently operated by the Turkish Armed Forces and adapted for export markets. Together, these platforms illustrate STM’s focus on interoperable unmanned systems that can be integrated into existing command and control structures.




Focus on interoperability and technology transfer
STM positions its portfolio around NATO-standard design principles, digital architectures and lifecycle support models. The systems presented at WDS 2026 are intended for navies and armed forces seeking scalable platforms, autonomous capabilities and options for industrial cooperation, including technology transfer and local capability development.

According to STM, the emphasis is on long-term partnerships rather than standalone equipment supply, particularly in regions facing evolving maritime security and unmanned warfare requirements.
