Rheinmetall Showcases Unmanned Systems at XPONENTIAL Europe 2026

Rheinmetall AG will present its latest unmanned and autonomous solutions at XPONENTIAL Europe 2026, taking place from 24 to 26 March 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany (Hall 1, Booth C25).

The event is one of Europe’s leading platforms for robotics, autonomous systems, and unmanned technologies, with a growing focus on security and defence applications.

Broad portfolio across land, air, and space
At XPONENTIAL Europe 2026, Rheinmetall AG will showcase a wide spectrum of technologies, including:
  • Unmanned aerial systems (UAVs)
  • Counter-drone solutions
  • Satellite-based reconnaissance
  • Autonomous and collaborative robotics
  • Teleoperation platforms using 5G networks
Key innovations on display
Loitering Munition FV-014
A portable reconnaissance and strike drone combining target observation and precision engagement. Operators remain in control throughout missions, enabling:
  • Accurate strikes
  • Reduced collateral damage
  • Integration into Rheinmetall’s Reconnaissance and Strike Network
c-UAS Interceptor Drone (RV-005)
A “hard-kill” counter-drone system designed to neutralize hostile UAVs via:
  • Physical interception or warhead deployment
  • AI-enabled targeting even under jamming conditions
It supports multi-layer air defence and is suited for protecting critical infrastructure and airspace.

SAR Satellites (Synthetic Aperture Radar)
Advanced space-based systems delivering high-resolution Earth observation regardless of:
  • Weather conditions
  • Lighting (day/night operations)
Developed via the Rheinmetall–ICEYE joint venture, these satellites enable:
  • Real-time surveillance
  • Target detection
  • Secure data access for defence operations
YARO Collaborative Robot (Cobot)
A rugged AI-powered robot designed for extreme environments, featuring:
  • IP67/IP69 protection (dustproof and waterproof)
  • Operation from -20°C to 50°C
  • Force control and vibration resistance
  • Custom sensor integration for specialized tasks
Teleoperation Control Systems
Presented by Rheinmetall subsidiary MIRA GmbH, the system includes:
  • Remote driver console with real-time video feeds
  • Central control centre for mission coordination
  • 5G-enabled vehicle teleoperation
This enables safe, scalable remote driving in both defence and civilian scenarios.

Driving digital transformation in defence
With its presence at XPONENTIAL Europe 2026, Rheinmetall AG reinforces its role as a leading systems provider for digital and networked defence operations.

By integrating AI, robotics, satellite intelligence, and connectivity, the company aims to:
  • Enhance battlefield awareness
  • Enable faster, coordinated responses
  • Support modern, data-driven defence strategies
