Medium-sized L3Harris T4 robots provide advanced control and precision for inspecting and defeating explosive threats.
L3Harris Technologies has received a contract from Belgium’s Ministry of Defence (MOD) to provide 14 medium-sized T4™ explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) robots to defeat ground explosive threats.
The medium-sized T4 robot is designed to help keep operators out of harm’s way while performing complex tasks. It provides operators with the advanced control and precision required to inspect and help neutralize hazards.
“The advanced technology and compact, rugged design of the T4 robotic system is an ideal fit for the Belgian MOD’s requirements and will save lives,” said Ed Zoiss, President, Space and Airborne Systems, L3Harris. “The proven, uncompromised performance and strength of L3Harris’ robotic systems help our customers execute even the most complex EOD missions with best-in-class mobility and control.”
The contract also provides Belgium with in-country support, maintenance and training as well as enhancements designed to counter improvised explosive devices.
L3Harris EOD robots are also aiding the U.K. Ministry of Defence, the U.S. Air Force and the Australian Defence Force.
