General Dynamics Mission Systems to Participate in Sea Air Space 2025

General Dynamics Missions Systems will join three other General Dynamics business units, Bath Iron Works, Electric Boat and NASSCO, as exhibitors at Sea Air Space 2025, scheduled for April 7-9, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

Following is a list of General Dynamics Mission Systems products and solutions that will be displayed at the event.

GHOST Small Unmanned Surface Vessel
GHOST is a fast, stable, optionally crewed small surface vessel with a large payload capacity and superb sea keeping. The Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull (SWATH) allows operation of larger payloads not normally available on small surface vessels in high sea states. Designed for rapid construction and quick fleet insertion, GHOST provides superior adaptability and protection for mission success.

Containerized Tethered Elevated Mast (C-TEM)
The Containerized Tethered Elevated Mast (C-TEM) is a shipboard tethered unmanned aerial system that extends line-of-sight communication for surface ships. With all-weather long endurance mission support, a user-friendly interface, and a low visual signature in-flight, C-TEM use cases are only limited by the warfighter’s imagination. It can be outfitted with numerous capability packages, ranging from radar, electronic warfare (EW), Counter UAS, ISR (Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance), and more.

Dynamic Edge Kit
The Dynamic Edge Kit enhances multilevel security for accelerated decision-making capabilities. It seamlessly integrates high Technical Readiness Level (TRL) advanced hardware from the Multifunction Processor (MP) family of products, as well as the Tactical Cross Domain Solution (TACDS) and sophisticated software applications Dynamic ASSIST and Dynamic Vision. This integration ensures robust Multilevel Security (MLS) processing and real-time data fusion from various sources, providing operators with a comprehensive, and actionable set of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) data.

MainTAIN
MainTAIN is a commercial enterprise asset management system that meets Navy maintenance requirements, designed with inputs from Government Programs of Record (PORs) for configuration management. As a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product, MainTAIN is configurable to be used in various maintenance environments. It is scalable to accommodate all ship platforms and provide asset management and planning services to the Navy. MainTAIN aligns with the Navy’s Model Based Product Support (MBPS) plan.

Digital Modular Radio
The Digital Modular Radio (DMR), AN/USC-61(C), is the first software defined radio to have become a communications system standard for the U.S. Military. As one of the Navy’s most versatile tactical radios, one four-channel DMR can simultaneously support voice and data satellite communication networks, Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) waveforms, Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems, HAVEQUICK, and other tactical, HF/VHF/UHF radios.

Bluefin-21
The Bluefin®-21 is a highly modular autonomous Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) able to carry multiple sensors and payloads at once. It boasts a high energy capacity that enables extended operations even at the greatest depths. The Bluefin-21 has immense capability but is also flexible enough to operate from various ships of opportunity worldwide. The Bluefin-21 is ideal for a variety of applications, including search and salvage, archaeology and exploration, oceanography, mine countermeasures (MCM), and unexploded ordnance (UXO).

Strategic Deterrence Modernization
General Dynamics Mission Systems has a 70-year heritage of providing full life-cycle support for strategic ballistic missile guidance, weapon command and control, and communications systems. We have designed, produced, installed, and sustained every version of the Weapon Control System (Fire Control) for Polaris, Poseidon, Trident I and Trident II Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM). Additionally, we have been part of the team developing, testing, producing, deploying, and sustaining the guidance systems for each of these missions. Today we continue sustainment in both areas as we support the Trident II D-5 Life Extension.

Progeny Systems
Progeny Systems primarily supports the U.S. Navy, specializing in submarine modernization. Our expertise includes the design, construction, and comprehensive lifecycle support of mission-critical systems for the submarine force. We offer specialized software and hardware solutions in acoustics, cybersecurity, weapon launch and control systems, surveillance, and complex multi-tiered architectures for the Department of Defense (DOD). Progeny Systems also provides the AN/BYG-1 to AUKUS, an open-architecture submarine control system with capabilities for tracking and analyzing submarine and surface contacts, targeting and launching missiles, torpedoes, and other payloads, while enhancing situational awareness for operators. As the prime contractor for the Surface Training and Readiness Management System (STRMS) Program of Record, Progeny Systems delivers a Command Readiness platform that manages Personnel Qualification Standards (PQS), Watch Team Replacement Plans, Watchbills, Schedules/Fatigue Risk Management, Training, Performance Assessment, and Watchstation Proficiency. Additionally, Progeny serves as the Lead Systems Integrator (LSI) for the Undersea Warfare - Decision Support System (USW-DSS), a Program of Record installed on approximately 80 CGs, DDGs, CVNs, and shore sites. USW-DSS provides integrated battle group USW mission planning capability across multiple anti-submarine warfare assets, mission execution management with tactical data exchange, in situ execution assessment, and overall USW situational awareness.

Next Generation Load Device-Medium (NGLD-M)
Working with the U.S. Army, General Dynamics Mission Systems is building the NGLD-M that will manage and transfer cryptographic key material and mission planning data in a ruggedized hand-held device. Designed to replace aging Simple Key Loader fill devices, the NGLD-M transfers NSA-generated cryptographic keys to tactical, strategic, and enterprise network systems operating from unclassified up to the highest levels of security classification.

ProtecD@R® encryption solutions protect our Nation’s most sensitive Data at Rest (DaR). Designed for enterprise and tactical environments, our DaR encryption devices offer both direct and networked attached storage solutions including a standalone 32 Gb/s encryptor and embedded technology for hard drive encryption in laptops, ruggedized platforms and storage systems.

Sectéra® Secure Voice provide NSA certified High Assurance, end-to-end secure communication solutions from the desktop to the frontlines. The Sectéra vIPer™ Universal Secure Phone is the only Voice over IP (VoIP) phone certified to protect classified Top Secret/SCI and below over commercial wired networks.

TACDS® is General Dynamics' tactical cross domain solution (CDS) that enables information and communications to be shared across different security domains in austere tactical environments. TACDS is a low Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C), rugged, tamper-resistant CDS that comes in two form factors, TACDS-Vehicle Mount and TACDS-Low Profile. The demo will showcase TACDS’ ability to support over a dozen RTB compliant filters and protocols in support of various message formats.

Rescue 21 is the U.S. Coast Guard’s advanced command, control, and direction-finding communications system. The system was created to better locate mariners in distress, save lives and property at sea and on navigable rivers. By harnessing state-of-the-market technology, the General Dynamics-built Rescue 21 system enables the Coast Guard to execute its search and rescue (SAR) missions with far greater agility and efficiency. Rescue 21 is operational along the entire Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf coasts of the continental United States as well as along the shores of the Great Lakes, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Guam. In 2024, supported by the Coast Guard’s Rescue 21 system, 4,818 lives were saved.
