As part of Squadron 2020 Industrial Participation, AMEXCI and EOS, together with Saab, will develop new capabilities to manufacture demanding defense components in Finland with metal additive manufacturing (AM). The project focuses on developing AM solutions both for spare parts and new product development. New and enhanced competencies will contribute to improving the overall security of supply in Finland. Additive Manufacturing can enable spare part production for the Finnish Defense Forces (FDF) and critical industries, as well as the rapid deployment of new innovative equipment.
The project participants are industry forerunners in their respective areas of expertise. AMEXCI is a leading metal Additive Manufacturing service provider, with a high-quality 3D-printing production and know-how on developing AM solutions for our customers. EOS is the world leading company in Metal Additive Manufacturing solutions, with a deep understanding of materials and process development as well as quality assurance. Saab has successfully implemented metal Additive Manufacturing in its production processes. By transferring its technological expertise, Saab serves as an excellent partner in fostering new competencies within Finnish industries.
