For military flight training, joint force preparation and large-scale multi-domain operations, Lockheed Martin has introduced Prepar3D® Fuse, a next-generation simulation environment developed with Blackshark.ai. The platform merges high-fidelity real-time graphics, AI-generated terrain and advanced sensor modeling into a single, unified digital training ecosystem.

Built on a custom version of Unreal Engine 5, Prepar3D® Fuse combines Lockheed Martin’s long-established simulation technologies with commercially available real-time visualization and large-scale AI content generation. This approach enables warfighters, engineers and instructors to operate within one common environment spanning individual flight instruction through brigade-level joint exercises.

Prepar3D® Fuse integrates a global, material-encoded digital globe featuring more than 1,000 geo-referenced airports and high-resolution city environments generated by Blackshark.ai’s AI-driven terrain technology. This allows training scenarios to be geographically accurate at a planetary scale while remaining dynamically updatable as real-world conditions change.
